Nutmeg is a seed of several species of genus Myristica, such as myristica fragrans. The common use of nutmeg is in the form of a spice or powder to flavor many foods, such as baked goods, potatoes, and meats. However, it has also been employed in the concoction of poisons.
History
Nutmeg was a popular spice in Italy during the Renaissance. It was collected by the Assassin Ezio Auditore of the Italian Brotherhood during his campaign in Rome against the Templar Cesare Borgia.
