The Naval Cannon in action.

The Naval Cannon is one of the four war machines that feature in the exotic side missions of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. One of the devices designed by Leonardo da Vinci, it is similar to a regular cannon but projects fire balls in different directions in order to cause wide-ranged damage.

The cannon was placed on a small boat (which appeared to be a widened gondola with stabilizers) so that it could be piloted around a harbor in Naples, and was used by Ezio Auditore to destroy four Templar battleships.

It is only used once throughout the single player story, but its mission can be replayed at any time after its completion. Successfully using and destroying machine gains the player the "Splash!" achievement.
