The Mycenaean Axe was a heavy battleaxe obtained by the Spartan misthios Kassandra sometime during the 5th century BCE.
A remnant of the once-glorious Mycenaean civilization, the axe had survived through the years so that it was still sharp enough to cause havoc during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
