Monte Circeo (English: Cape Circeo) is a mountain located in Italy on the Gulf of Gaeta. During the early 16th century, Cesare Borgia used the site as a facility for the manufacturing of tanks designed by Leonardo da Vinci. The factory and its products were destroyed by a group of mercenaries led by the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze.[1]
Database Entry
Otherwise known as Cape Circeo, Monte Circeo now exists as a promontory marking the southwestern limit of the Pontine Marshes about 100 kilometres southwest of Rome. On the east ridge of the promontory, geologists found remains of ancient fortifications. Who they belonged to is unclear but it's certainly a picturesque location to bunker down.[1]
