Monte Cierco

Monte Circeo (English: Cape Circeo) is a location in Italy on the Gulf of Gaeta. In the early 1500s, Cesare Borgia used the site to manufacture tanks designed by Leonardo da Vinci; the factory and its products were destroyed by a group of mercenaries led by Ezio Auditore da Firenze.[1]

Otherwise known as Cape Circeo, Monte Circeo now exists as a promontory marking the southwestern limit of the Pontine Marshes about 100 kilometres southwest of Rome. On the east ridge of the promontory, geologists found remains of ancient fortifications. Who they belonged to is unclear but it's certainly a picturesque location to bunker down.[1]
