Martin Church was a British Templar, who lived in London in the nineteenth century. He had been convicted for the murder of his brother, but somehow managed to escape imprisonment a few weeks before he was to be hanged, after which he found refuge at Lambeth Palace.

That was where the Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye found him, following up on the information given to them by Henry Green, and assassinated him.
