Marcus Aurelius (Latin: Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus; 26 April 121 – 17 March 180), born Marcus Annius Catilius Severus, was Roman Emperor from 161 to his death.

In honor of him, the Column of Marcus Aurelius was built, which would later serve as inspiration for the Column of Marcian.[1] The Pons Aurelius was also named for him, and would be used as the foundation for the Ponte Sisto.[2]

In 2012, Marcus Aurelius was included in a mnemonic set in Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy.[3]
