Marcello Auditore

Marcello Auditore (born 1514) was the son of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Mentor of the Italian Assassins, and of his wife Sofia Sartor.

Born in October of 1514, Marcello had one sister, Flavia. Marcello lived with his parents and sister in the Tuscan countryside, and at times accompanied his mother to visit his aunt Claudia.

Trivia

  • Marcello is an Italian diminutive of the name Marcus, derived from the name of the Roman god of war Mars, and as such it is traditionally translated as 'like Mars' or 'warlike'.
  • Prince Suleiman I introduced Ezio to Ahmet as "Marcello" to hide his true identity.
  • Marcello appears in the Assassin's Creed: Revelations novel, where he accompanies his mother and sister to the market where Ezio dies.
  • Given that Ezio is identified as the common ancestor of Clay Kaczmarek and Desmond Miles, and Flavia is known to be Desmond's ancestor, this indicates Marcello is Clay's ancestor.
