"Lucky" Lem was a convicted pirate imprisoned in Fort Wolcott. He was sent a letter from William Kidd regarding Lem's safekeeping of his part of the Oak Island map showing the location of Kidd's Ring of Eden. The letter ended up in the hands of Peg Leg by the time of the American Revolution and was given to the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton for his search for the ring.[1]
