Luca Pitti (1398 – 1472) was an Italian banker during the period of the Republic of Florence presided over by Cosimo de' Medici.
A loyal friend and servant to the Medici and the republic, he sought to rival the Medici's power in his later life and constructed the Palazzo Pitti. However, the palace was left incomplete when Luca ran out of money and he died in 1472.[1]
