Leonidaion

The Leonidaion was a guesthouse which served as a lodging place for athletes taking part in the Olympic Games in Olympia, Greece. It was named after its architect, Leonidas of Naxos.

During the Peloponnesian War, the building was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra.[1]

Trivia

  • In Odyssey, the building is anachronistic, as it was not erected until 330 BCE.
