Korinthian Helmet

The Korinthian Helmet was a type of helmet used during the 5th century BCE that found its origin in Korinthia, Greece. During the Peloponnesian War, Spartans, who were allies of Korinth, utilize this helmet for many for their foot soldiers.

The Spartan misthios Kassandra possibly obtained this helmet during her travels.[1] Centuries later during the Alexandrine Civil War in Ptolemaic Egypt after becoming militarily obsolete this helmet was still being worn for aesthetic reasons by gladiators like The Hoplite and bodyguards like Hypatos.[2]
