The Koressia Fort

The Koressia Fort was a fort within the Ancient Ruins of Kunastros on the island of Keos, Greece. Build as a fort to protect Keos, it was occupied by a sizeable military force during the Peloponnesian War.

Around 430 BCE, the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the fort at the request of the pirate leader Xenia. Finding the nation chest, Kassandra looted the riches within, finding the Black Axe along the way, and noticeably weakening the island's leader.[1]
