Kisshōten (吉祥天), also known as Kissho ten'nyo (吉祥天女) is a Japanese Buddhist deity, known as the goddess of happiness, fertility, and beauty.[1] In 1582, when Hattori Hanzō found Fujibayashi Naoe inside the ruins of Sakafuneishi, he told her of how he had betrayed the original Kakushiba ikki and about his feelings for Naoe's mother Tsuyu, whose beauty he compared to Kissho ten'nyo herself.[2]
