Biography

When the Peloponnesian War began, Kalibos joined the fray. Before he could leave Lakonia's shores, Zeuxo sent him and his troops wine, delivered by the misthios Kassandra. The Spartan forces indulged themselves and woke up hungover the next morning to see a wooden horse outside their encampment. After a moment's confusion, Kalibos led his men and Kassandra in a fight against the Athenians pouring out of the horse.[1]
