Kalibos was a Spartan commander living in the village of Geronthai in Lakonia, Greece during the 5th century BCE with his wife Zeuxo.

Biography

When the Peloponnesian War begun, Kalibos joined the fray. Before he could leave Lakonia's shores, Zeuxo sent him and his troops wine, delivered by the misthios Kassandra.[1]

The Spartan forces indulged themselves, and woke up the next morning with a hangover to see a wooden horse outside their encampment. After a momentary confusion, Kalibos led his men and Kassandra in a fight against the Athenians pouring out of the horse.[1]
