Jumao was a pirate who served under Alonzo Batilla during the Golden Age of Piracy. Both were rescued from a Navy vessel by Olivier Levasseur, at which point they became pirates, him serving as quartermaster for Alonzo.
Born in Isla de la Juventud, he was forced into slavery at the age of 8, along with his mother and brothers.
