Jubair al Hakim is one of the nine people Al Mualim wants Altair to assassinate. He is found in the middle district of the city of Damascus.

Rather than seeking knowledge, The Illuminated hunt down and burn all books and texts within Damascus, believing that such documents are the source of evils such as the war between the Saracens and the Crusaders.
Jubair al Hakim has disdain for the works of many writers such as Plato and Socrates. He is a ruthless man, with little tolerance towards any who oppose him. He believes that the illness of learning must be eliminated, because it simply fixes people, preventing them from finding their true calling.
Death
Jubair was ultimately killed by Altair. The assassin ends his life, shortly after witnessing him burn a large supply of books and scriptures.
