Johann von Robais, Baron de Kalb (19 June 1721 – 19 August 1780) was a German-born French soldier and a member of the Templar Order.
During the American Revolutionary War, de Kalb joined the Continental Army and was made a Major General. He postured himself for promotion into higher ranking positions to increase Templar influence in the Continental Army. In 1780, de Kalb led his troops to Camden, South Carolina, preparing to attack British commander Charles Cornwallis. As the battle broke out, de Kalb was killed by an Assassin apprentice sent by Ratonhnhaké:ton.
Trivia
