Ivan III Vasilevich, also known as Ivan the Great (1440 – 1505), was the leader of Russia during the Renaissance.
Biography
During the Liberation of Rome, the Assassin Ezio Auditore sent a team of Apprentices from the Roman Assassins Guild to Moscow to investigate the disappearance of a fellow Assassin, Pietro Antonio Solari.
Investigations led the Assassins to another fellow Assassin, Ridolfo Fioravant, who had gone into hiding. He explained to the Roman Apprentices that Ivan was close to uncovering the truth behind their Order.
The Assassins then decided to distract the ruler by presenting him a different conspiracy to investigate. They started spreading false proof of a reemergence of the Strigolniki Sect.
