Biography
In 48 BCE while in Herakleion, Iuseneb was dispatched by Apollodorus to investigate a farm situated in the eastern corner of Herakleion Nome. Arriving at the farm, Iuseneb discovered it to have been converted into a Roman military camp, who used it to train elephants for war, using the captive farmers to harden their bloodlust.[1]
Iuseneb was discovered by the Romans, who tied him up along with the farmers and prepared to be sacrificed to the elephants. However, he was later rescued by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, who had come to investigate. Iuseneb reported his findings to Bayek, shortly before returning to Herakleion to report to Apollodorus.[1]
