The Independence was an American ship that sailed the Caribbean Sea in the 1770s. During a journey in 1776, the ship was attacked by British privateers and sent out a distress call. The Assassin Connor, captain of the Aquila, received the distress call and set out to help. He destroyed the British vessels and ensured the safety of the Independence.
