Revision as of 18:02, 4 January 2010

In Assassin's Creed II, besides the purchasable "proper" weapons and the 2-handed weapons such as Spears and Halberds, Ezio can use "improper" weapons.

  • Brooms
  • Hoes
  • Rakes
  • Fishing Poles

These can be picked up like 2-handed weapons. They are discarded once a fight is finished, or once Ezio sprints/climbs/enters a free running sequence. These weapons act mainly as hammers/maces. They even use the same animations and sound effects.

These "weapons" are extremely funny in use, but cannot be kept. The animations are sometimes nonsensical. For example, Ezio can slice an enemy's throat with a broom after a grab, exactly the way he does with a sword. These objects can be taken from civilians. They will drop what they're carrying once Ezio runs into them.
