The Illyrian Helmet was a type of helmet originating from Illyria, the western region of the Balkans inhabitated by the Illyrians.

During the Peloponnesian War, the use of the helmet spread south to Greece, where it was commonly sold by blacksmiths. The misthios Kassandra acquired the helmet during her journeys throughout Greece.[1]
