Il Carnefice was an executioner active in the city of Rome and a member of the Templar Order.

In 1500, he forced himself on a woman, only to have her hanged. The woman's husband later mourned her death, which was noticed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Feeling obliged to bring justice to Il Carnefice, Ezio infiltrated his cliffside palazzo and assassinated him from above.[1]
