Iacopo IV Appiani (1459 – 1510) was an Italian condottiero and lord of Piombino during the Renaissance.
He was forced out of the town during Cesare Borgia's conquests. Appiano contacted the Assassins led by Francesco Vecellio, informing them Cesare was loading his spoils onto ships bound for Rome, and they came to recover some of his money while sinking the rest.[1]
