The House of Borgia was an Spanish noble family that became prominent during the Renaissance. Notable members of the family include Rodrigo Borgia, Cesare Borgia and Lucrezia Borgia. The family is known today for their crimes such as theft and murder. During the Renaissance, the Borgia family were the most prominent members of the Knights Templar and also their leader.

In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood during the mission 'Hell on Wheels', Ezio uses Eagle Vision and a nearby Borgia flag is seen as bright red, indicating the Borgia are still a threat.
