The Hoplon was a pair of armguards part of a set of armor worn by the Myrmidons, an ancient nation in Greek mythology. The armguards were known to be able to parry blades with armor on the back, while remaining light and comfortable for its wearer to wear.
The armguards were made available to the Spartan misthios Kassandra through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relived her memories.[1]
