The Hoplite Helmet was a type of helmet commonly worn by the hoplites, citizen-soldiers who made up the bulk of the militaries of the Greek city-states.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this helmet in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]
