- "Henry Morton took the case, hired porters and gave chase. Found his man and got the story. Presumably he wanted glory."
- ―An initiate describing Stanley, 2013.[src]
Henry Morton Stanley (born John Rowlands; 28 January 1841 – 10 May 1904) was a Welsh journalist and explorer.
Stanley is best known for searching for the lost explorer David Livingstone. In 1871, he found Livingstone in Ujiji in modern-day Tanzania,[1] upon which he supposedly uttered the words, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?"[2]
