He was also known for his social theory: the Fordism, an idea to combine mass consumption with mass production to produce sustained economic growth and widespread material advancement. For that, he raised his employees' pay to 5$ (from 2~3$ before). He was actually giving them a pay cut, and made them believe the other way with the Piece of Eden (4) he received from Thomas Edison.
