The Helmschmied Armory was a family-run blacksmithing and armourers group during the late 15th century and early 16th century.

Their armor could be purchased at blacksmith shops around Italy during the late 15th century, with one of their clients being Italian Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who purchased a set of their simpler armor prior to 1498.[1] Among their most notable creations was a rare line of heavy armor known as the Helmschmied Drachen Armor, in 1498. At least one of these sets of armor found its way into the possession of Ezio Auditore during his time in Rome in the early 1500s.[2] Another set of armor was worn by Girolamo da Lucca who also used a sword crafted with the same aesthetic.[3]
