The Heavy Bow was a bow used in 5th century BCE Greece. It was said that whoever used the bow should expect the arrows shot from it to pierce even the toughest of armors.
During the Peloponnesian War, the bow was obtained by the Spartan misthios Kassandra over the course of her travels throughout Greece, either by purchasing it from blacksmiths or looting it from bodies and chests.[1]
