Guy Auguste de Rohan-Chabot, best known as Chevalier de Rohan (1683 – 1760), was a French nobleman.
In 1725,[1] Chevalier de Rohan quarelled with Voltaire over an actress. De Rohan then had his servants attack the philosopher when leaving the Hôtel de Sully and later had him imprisoned at the Bastille.[2]
