Gupta was an Egyptian informant of Apollodorus' Estate in Kyrenaika during the 1st century BCE.

Biography

Prior to 47 BCE, Gupta was part of Apollodorus' network of Egyptian spies operating Kyrenaika, helping him to spy on the Romans during their occupation of the colony.[1]

In 47 BCE, his name was included in a list of Apollodorus' agents in Kyrenaika, held by a Roman legionary. As a result, he was captured and brought to the Balagrae Barracks, where he refused to provide any information. Gupta was later rescued by the Medjay, Bayek, who passed by the town.[1]

After being escorted out of the barracks, Gupta informed Bayek that the Romans had gotten a list of the names of the spies that served under Apollodorus, urging him to retrieve it.[1]
