Gungnir Smida was a forge in southern Svaladal, Svartálfaheimr where Odin's Spear of Eden Gungnir was created.
History
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord discovered the forge and recalled the time Loki commissioned Ivaldi's sons to craft the spear Gungnir as one of the gifts he needed to regain favor in Ásgarðr. The spear was made of "sunlight" and the strongest of Asgardian metal. The tip was carved by runes to guide its path as it made the spear never miss its mark.[1]
