The Golden Mask is an item that features in a mission in sequence 9 of Assassin's Creed II. The mask grants any civilian exclusive access to Marco Babarigo's Carnevale party. In the final mission of sequence 9 of AC2, Ezio must pickpocket the mask off of Dante Moro (Marco's bodyguard) in order to enter the party and assassinate Marco.

Once given the mask, Ezio cannot take it off for the rest of Sequence 9. The purpose of the mask is that it turns Ezio incognito after the assassination of the late doge of Venice.

Ezio therefore needs to obtain the golden mask.
