Giovanni Mocenigo (1409 - 14 September 1485) was Doge of Venice from 1478 to 1485. During his life, he had fought with Mohammed II and Ercole I d'Este, the duke of Ferrara.

Description

Doge Mocenigo was close with Carlo Grimaldi, who was in secret a Templar. At a Templar meeting, Carlo received the order to kill Mocenigo from Rodrigo Borgia, Grand Master of the Templars.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze overheard this meeting and broke into the Palazzo Ducale using Leonardo da Vinci's Flying Machine. However, Grimaldi had already poisoned Mocenigo. As Mocenigo began to cough up blood, Ezio followed Carlo into the courtyard of the palace and killed him, avenging the Doge. Miraculously, the Doge managed to stumble into the courtyard. Delirious now, he yelled that Ezio killed him before finally dying at the top of the stairs.
