Gilgamesh was a historical king of the Sumerian city-state of Uruk and a major hero in ancient Mesopotamian mythology.
According to legend, Gilgamesh slayed the giant Humbaba in combat and forged a sword from his tooth. By the 1st century BCE, the sword would end up in Ptolemaic Egypt, where it was recovered by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa.[1]
