The Giant's Causeway is an area consisting of roughly 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, formed as a result of a volcano eruption fissure. Located at the northern tip of Ulster, Ireland, it has alternately been linked to the Fomorians or the folkloric hero Finn McCool of Irish mythology.[1]
Between 879 and 882, the jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan visited by the area during her time in Ireland.[2] On one such visit, she fought and killed Blud the Giant, one of Thorgest's Lost Drengir who held the secret to the location of their late leader's burial place and personal shield.[3]
In 2020, the Assassin historian Shaun Hastings proposed the possibility of the Isu being responsible for its creation.[4]
