Georgios I (860s – 920) was a Nubian ruler of Makuria who reigned until his death in 920.
In his youth as a prince, Georgios was sent to the Abbasid Caliphate as tribute to negotiate payments[1] owed by his father to caliph al-Mu'tasim.[2]
