Georg von Frundsberg (24 September 1473 – 20 August 1528), was a German knight and Landsknechte leader in the service of the Imperial Habsburg dynasty of the Holy Roman Empire.
Considered to be Emperor Maximilian I's greatest knight, he unknowingly worked together with Ezio Auditore's Italian Assassin recruits—who were disguised as condottieri—to train Swiss mercenaries, who would combat the forces of Rodrigo Borgia's Papal Guard.[1][2]
