Alexander Mitchell Palmer (4 May 1872 - 11 May 1936), better known as A. Mitchell Palmer, was Attorney General of the United States from 1919 to 1921.

During his tenure as Attorney General, Palmer supervised the controversial Palmer Raids during the Red Scare, where numerous Russian immigrants were captured and deported out of fear for radical leftism.
