François Hanriot (3 September 1761 – 28 July 1794) was a French orator during the French Revolution. He served as Commander of the Armed Forces of Paris from 1793 until the downfall of the Jacobins.

During his tenure, Hanriot oversaw the arrest of the Girondists on orders of Maximilien de Robespierre. Georges Danton protested against Hanriot's cruelty, but he too was arrested and sentenced to execution. Arno Dorian and a team of Assassins were able to aid several Girondists in their escape from Paris and Hanriot.

When Robespierre was arrested by the convention, Hanriot tried to amass men to free his master from custody. After Robespierre escaped to the Hôtel de Ville, Hanriot and the former's supporters gathered there. When troops of the National Convention attacked, Hanriot was thrown out of a window, but he managed to survive. Half-conscious, Hanriot was taken with his master to be executed by the guillotine.
