Pizzaro arrived in Peru in late 1532 with a small band of fellow conquistadors, ostensibly to find gold. In truth, he sought a Piece of Eden. In mid-November of that year, Pizzaro and his men arrived at the outskirts of the Inca city of Cajamarca. After taking the rest of the Empire, Pizzaro soon faced enemies from within his own ranks, mostly from another conquistador, Diego Il Almagoro and his brothers. On 25 June 1541, he was assassinated by the Almagoros, who may have secretly been Assassins.
