Aleksandr Ilyich Ulyanov (Russian: Алекса́ндр Ильи́ч Улья́нов; April 12, 1866 – May 20, 1887) was a Russian revolutionary and older brother of Vladimir Lenin. Aleksandr graduated from the college of Simbrisk in 1883 with honors and entered Petersburg, where majored in natural sciences and earned a gold medal in zoology. During his university days Aleksandr participitated in illegal meetings and demostrations, and also gave out pamphlets and angered both workers and students. In 1886, he became one of the founding members of the "Terrorist Faction", an off-shoot of the Narodnaya Volya party.
