Esquiline Hill

The Esquiline Hill (Italian: Esquilino) is the southernmost of the Seven Hills of Rome. The Esquiline was another fashionable residential district. Emperor Nero confiscated property here to build his opulent Golden Palace.

The Roman Emperor Trajan also constructed his bath complex on the Esquiline, which is still visible in modern times.
