Emilio Barbarigo was a tyrant of Venice and was secretly a Templar. He is the first assassination target in Venice.
In Venice Emilio had taken control of and was holding it with an iron fist. He apparently single-handedly funded the city guard. He lived in a large castle surrounded by many guards.
He is first seen at a meeting with various Templars including Jacopo de' Pazzi and Rodrigo Borgia. Emilio is next seen meeting with Carlo Grimaldi, a government official who informs him that Ezio has arrived in Venice. Emilio is assassinated by Ezio shortly after Carlo leaves.
He was related to Marco Barbarigo and Silvio Barbarigo.
