Eivor surveying Eatun Barn

Eatun Barn was a barn and a farmland area in southwestern Oxenefordscire, England.

History[edit | edit source]

In 874, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan traveled to Eatun Barn to meet up with Fulke to destroy Lady Eadwyn's supply lines. However, Fulke was in an argument with a seller of warfare wares, which Eivor intervened in, ultimately securing the supplies from the seller. She and Fulke then used their newly-acquired oil jars to set up an ambush for Lady Eadwyn's reinforcements.[1]

Once the soldiers came, Eivor and Fulke out-flanked and killed all of them. Afterwards, the two talked about the possible connection between Eivor's brother, Sigurd, and the ancient Isu being his ancestors. Eivor did not understand what Fulke meant and reminded her that she must meet with Geadric about the upcoming assault of Cyne Belle Castle before leaving.[1]

Eivor later followed a clue about an Order of the Ancients member, "The Lathe," which entailed that The Lathe had ended a rival and that proof may be found in a sealed chamber at Eatun Barn. Inside the chamber, Eivor located another clue on the ground, which allowed her to determine The Lathe's identity as the shipbuilder Mucel and his location to be at the docks in Buckingham.[2] In the same room, she also recovered a treasure hoard map on top of a tomb.[3]
