The Akropolis of Karthaia was a temple complex located in Apollo's Refuge, the southeastern region of Keos, Greece. The akropolis housed several sacred buildings such as temples dedicated to the god Apollo and the goddess Athena.
Particularly in the temple of Apollo, who served as the divine protector of the island, public laws were recorded inside.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, the sanctuary was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
